                              MOUNTING BUCKET SEATS

By far the easiest method of mounting seats with a flat type base mount (as found in most European and Japanese small cars) is to use the standard FJ seat mounts to the floor with angle iron mounted from side to side to form a rectangular platform. The seats can then be bolted to this and then in turn this is mounted to the standard mounts. The height of the mount can be varied according to seat height and preference of position. Seats mounted in this way, are usually accepted as the mount to the original points.

48-53 (FX) can also have seats mounted in this manner; all that is needed is the fitting of FJ seat mounts to the early floor.
